The LTRVD Gathering 2016 will once again be held at the beautiful Horseshoe Cove RV Resort in Bradenton, FL. After a very successful 2015 Gathering with 50 rigs and 98 attendees, we will be hosting another in 2016 with space for 100 rigs and 200 people. The 2016 event will be starting on Tuesday, October 11th and wrapping up Sunday morning October 16th. Here is a link to the resort http://www.carefreervresorts.com/rv-parks/florida/horseshoe-cove/
Our slate of presenters will once again include Chris and Jim Guld, the Geeks on Tour with their wonderful seminars on how to use the tech gadgets we have and get the most out of them. They will also be doing smaller workshop style sessions on Monday and Tuesday, the 17th and 18th of October following the Gathering.
Also returning will be Eric and Tami Johnson of Techno-RV with seminars on electrical safety and other technical topics.
Kathy and I will be doing some new seminars to include Having a Small Business on the Road in addition to some of our regular RV Lifestyle presentations.
Al Hesselbart will be returning as well with his presentations on the early history of RVs.
We are talking with several other well known RV Show presenters and more information will be located here as we know more.
The Gathering will expand to include an extra day so we won't be so pressed for time.
We will have registration on Tuesday the 11th from 1 PM to 5 PM. Then there will be an evening program from 6PM till I'm not sure yet.
Wednesday, Thursday Friday, and Saturday will be the main Gathering days filled with seminars, provided meals, entertainment, and of course, door prizes.
Once again we will have a vendor product showcase and sales area. Time and date to be determined.
So far, it looks like we will have breakfasts for 3 of the 4 mornings and a meal event on the beautiful island here at the resort.
This year we raised $1003 for our charity, Wounded Warriors. In 2016 we'll have the Paws for Patriots program from Southeastern Guide Dogs as our designated charity. This is an outstanding program where they raise the dogs from puppies, foster them out for the first year of socialization and training, bring them back for specialized training, and them bring together the dog and a veteran with special needs. They live at the center for intensive training together and then go home to live a more fulfilling life. All this at no cost to the recipient of the dog. Horseshoe Cove will once again offer a $22/day rate during the Tuesday through Saturday duration of the LTRVD Gathering 2016 or $150 for the whole week. There is a very special rate of $199 for an entire month stay for first time guests plus electricity. For those who took advantage of that rate this year, the resort will offer a month for $350, a very deeply discounted rate.
Due to the extra day and additional meal, the rally rate will be somewhere in the $150 range. We will formalize that after the first of the year when we start taking reservations.
We will start taking reservations for the LTRVD Gathering 2016 in January, 2016. email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send a sign-up sheet with instructions on making the rally payment as well as making your resort reservations. This year's Gathering was very well received and folks are telling their friends all about it. There will be more advance publicity this year, so I suggest you get your reservations in as early as possible. We will maintain a waiting list as soon as we have registered the first 100 rigs. Cancellations, and there are always cancellations, will be filled from the list in the order received.
